Academic Advising
Jim Schneider advises all students majoring or interested in majoring in Fisheries and Wildlife, and students wanting to complete a Minor in Conservation Recreation and Environmental Enforcement or Marine Ecosystem Management. Jim Schneider also assists with course overrides (FW courses only), approves substitutions, and coordinates the fisheries and wildlife internship program.
If you are not an MSU student and would like to meet with Jim Schneider, please contact the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife's Undergraduate Advising Center at (517) 353-9091 to schedule an appointment.
MSU students are encouraged to use the MSU Student Information System to schedule advising appointments. SIS allows MSU students to schedule an appointment at their convenience with their academic advisor. MSU students can also call the FW Advising Center (517) 353-9091 or stop by Room 40 in the Natural Resources Building to schedule an appointment (closed during fall 2020). Walk-in appointments are available if time permits.
