How to enroll in a single course through MSU's Lifelong Education process

If you're not ready to commit to a full degree at this time, or just want information on a single topic, enroll through MSU Lifelong. It's as easy as registering for a conference. Click here to apply. We have some helpful tips you help you through the process on our Enroll Through MSU Lifelong page.

Be sure to confirm when your course is offered with our schedule of courses. If you have questions about enrollment or our classes, please contact iflr@msu.edu

Students earn a certificate in US or international food law after successful completion of four applicable courses. Read certificate details here.

If you later decide to pursue the master's degree, you may apply to transfer up to three relevant courses toward your degree, per MSU's transfer credit policy. Students may apply for transfer credits after they have been admitted to the master's program.

Non-Credit Options

Occasionally, a participant opts to take a course for informational purposes only. Courses taken under non-credit status cannot be applied toward a master's degree or certificate. You can learn about non-credit registration or go directly to the registration page, here.

We also have a handful of free or low-cost self-paced mini courses available here.
