Environmental Acoustics
Acoustical methodologies have been use for physical and biological assesment of ecosystems. The three main acoustical research topics contributions:
- Soil Physics and Acoustics: Acoustical recording of rapid hydration of soil aggregates from tilled, no-tilled or native habitats.
- Compost Biology and Acoustics: Acoustic recording of compost with or without its natural biota, and with or without water added as an activating agent (published in the Compost Science and Utilization Journal).
- Kellogg Biological Station, Michigan environmental acoustical recordings: Sound recording of insect, bird and amphibian activity in different ecosystems (T1, T2, T4, T7, SF, and DF) at Kellogg Biological Station (KBS/LTER).
