Reflecting on this series of posts, it’s amazing how my understanding of my own project and of my general issues of research interest has evolved through this travel fellowship. I still have the daunting behemoth of my dissertation research in front of me, but I have a much better understanding of my goals, objectives, constraints, and limitations. I was a bit overambitious in thinking that I would get through all the papers that people suggested while I was here, but I will continue to add to my growing annotated bibliography. Through my last few days at CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation), Alistair Hobday and I have developed a dissertation schematic for me to begin to develop my project. I am ready to return to Michigan and hit the ground running!
