Insect and Disease IPM Scouting Guide for Michigan Apples now a downloadable PDF
A free PDF download is now available for the new apple scouting pocket guide from MSU Extension.
Michigan State University Extension apple specialists recently revised and published a new pocket guide for scouting in apples, “Insect and Disease IPM Scouting Guide for Michigan Apples.” Pocket guides are useful tools to help growers and crop consultants identify the source of damage, pests, diseases and beneficial insects important to a particular crop. This identification aid is coupled with easy to find information on best practices for each organism important for pest management in apple orchards.
The updated pocket guide has modernized photos, improved formatting, new pest additions and updated scouting and management recommendations. The apple guide also includes helpful infographics that denote which parts of the plant are relevant for each organism.
