KBS LTAR leadership recognized by the national LTAR network

EmailKBS LTAR Associate Directors, Brook Wilke and Tayler Ulbrich, were recently recognized for their leadership in the national LTAR network.
Tayler Ulbrich & Brook Wilke work together with director Phil Robertson, to oversee and guide the success of stakeholder engagement and science at the Kellogg Biological Station Long-Term Agroecosystem Research site.
Tayler joined the KBS LTAR team as the Associate Director for Stakeholder Engagement in January 2021 and just over a year later she was named Early Career Scientist of the Year at the National LTAR Network’s All-Scientist Meeting held in Tucson, AZ in May. Tayler’s colleagues noted her outstanding contributions to stakeholder engagement efforts at the national level, including co-founding and leading the stakeholder engagement working group. “The success of the network depends on contributions from site scientists,” said KBS LTAR director Phil Robertson. “Tayler played a leading role in helping to organize the national stakeholder engagement effort—a well-deserved award.”
Brook Wilke, the KBS LTAR Associate Director for Science and Agronomy was also recognized for his leadership when he was nominated to join the network’s Executive Committee, a group of only ten leaders across the network of over 700 scientists. The Committee is charged with developing a plan for network-wide communication, defining priorities across the network, and working with research group leads to define best practices. Brook’s colleagues shared that “Brook joins every conversation with a broad and open perspective – knowing how to think like a farmer and scientist – that is sure to strengthen LTAR’s communication and scientific endeavors.”
