Plan your 2026 vineyard spray program: Multi-state pest management webinar for grape growers

A multi-state webinar providing science-based guidance for building effective 2026 vineyard spray programs, with RUP credits available for Michigan growers.

Cornell University and Penn State Extension will host the 2026 Pest Management Spray Schedule – “What’s Your Plan?” webinar on Dec. 3, 2025, from 1-4 p.m. (EST). This multi-state educational event is designed for grape growers across the Northeast and Great Lakes regions who are preparing for the 2026 growing season.

The program will feature leading specialists in grape pathology, entomology, integrated pest management and spray application technology. Updates will be provided on disease pressures, fungicide performance, pest management timing and practical approaches to designing an effective spray program for the year ahead.

Michigan State University Extension is partnering as a co-host to support Michigan participation. Michigan growers are fully welcome to attend and take advantage of the information shared. This webinar offers a valuable opportunity to hear the latest recommendations and management strategies from regional experts, making it relevant for both juice and wine grape production systems.

The program includes several focused presentations covering grape berry moth phenology, disease forecasting, fungicide efficacy results from 2025 trials, resistance management updates, application and coverage challenges, and considerations for improving spray accuracy and consistency. A Q&A period will follow the presentations.

Michigan growers who attend the full session will be eligible to receive restricted use pesticide (RUP) recertification credits. As part of Michigan State University Extension’s co-hosting role, we will monitor Michigan attendance throughout the webinar. At the conclusion of the program, all Michigan participants will receive a link to enter their full name and Michigan pesticide applicator license number. Once submitted, the credit will be processed after the event.

This webinar provides an efficient way for grape growers to access high-quality, research-driven pest management guidance while preparing for next season. Michigan growers are encouraged to participate, gain timely insights, and take advantage of the opportunity to apply for RUP recertification credit through this collaborative, multi-state program.
