EAST LANSING, Mich. — Registration is now open for the 2026 Michigan Agricultural Credit Conference, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Molecular Plant Sciences Building on Michigan State University’s campus.
Hosted by the Michigan State University Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics (AFRE), the conference brings together agricultural lenders, agribusinesses, policymakers and other industry professionals for timely updates on Michigan’s agricultural economy and the issues shaping its future.
This year’s conference will feature experts from MSU and the agricultural industry discussing agricultural policy and economics, farmland markets, labor, livestock, innovation, commodity and dairy outlooks, and other issues affecting Michigan agriculture.
The conference will begin with a networking breakfast followed by a keynote address on farm policy from Seth Meyer, director of the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI), associate professor of agricultural and applied economics at the University of Missouri and former USDA chief economist.
The morning program will continue with a Land, Labor, Livestock and Innovation session featuring MSU AFRE faculty Zach Rutledge, Tor Tolhurst, Jaime Luke and Vincenzina Caputo. Following lunch, attendees will hear an Agriculture Outlook and Panel Discussion featuring Jonathan LaPorte of MSU Extension, Angie Setzer of Consus, Sarina Sharp of Ag Business Solutions and the Daily Dairy Report, and Theresa Sisung of Michigan Farm Bureau.
The Michigan Agricultural Credit Conference has long provided an opportunity for agricultural credit professionals to connect with experts and gain information they can use when working with Michigan farmers and agribusinesses. Last year’s conference brought more than 100 representatives of the agricultural credit and banking industry to East Lansing for discussions surrounding agricultural markets, policy, labor and trade.
Registration is $95 per person and is open through 11:59 p.m. ET on Oct. 20, 2026. The registration fee includes a continental breakfast and lunch, and both individual and group registration options are available.
