Ron Bates
Ron Bates is the director of the MSU Extension Agriculture and Agribusiness Institute and serves as Assistant Dean for Agricultural Outreach and Extension for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR). He is also a professor in the MSU Animal Science Department where he focuses on swine genetics. He works closely with the MSU Extension educators to provide leadership on educational programs relating to genetic programs for commercial and seedstock producers, as well as the transition to housing sows in groups.
