Background:

I'm a wildlife ecologist focused on species recovery and assessment, and my efforts primarily center on restoring fish and wildlife populations via conservation translocation. My research has spanned reintroduction feasibility assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, and I've worked with a number of critters ranging from beach mice on up to grizzly bears. I earned my PhD in wildlife biology at the University of Montana at the end of 2021, and my research has largely been ecologically focused with increasing decision science and human dimensions influence. Here at MSU, I'm working with Mauri Liberati and collaborators around the Great Lakes on Cisco recovery. Outside of work, I spend most of my time gardening, mushroom foraging, and enjoying the natural playground that is my home in the Northern Rockies.
