Darrin Karcher, PhD
Darrin's extension programming includes organizing educational programs for 4-H and FFA members, backyard and small flock producers, and the Michigan poultry industry. He works closely with numerous individuals across various disciplines to ensure accurate and precise information is being delivered. Through his interactions with youth, he educates them on poultry production, job potential, and management issues so they can have an appreciation for how their food is produced. His research is targeted toward the turkey and layer industry in the state focusing on nutrition, management practices, and skeletal issues.
