Martin Holle
Martin Holle is a tenured Professor of Food Law and Administrative Law at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany). He received his PhD from Mainz University with a thesis on constitutional and European aspects of food regulation and held positions as a Legal Counsel and Regulatory Adviser with a multinational food company in Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, advising in all matters of European and international Food and Advertising Law. In 2013 he was appointed professor at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.
Martin is member of the German Food Code Commission, the Advisory Board of the German Scientific Association for Food Law (WGfL) and co-editor / co-author of legal guidebooks on Food Labelling, Health Claims and Origin Labelling. He was member of the European Commissions expert panel for the REFIT (“regulatory fitness”)-check of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002 and is a regular speaker on all aspects of food law at national and international conferences as well as training events.
