Michele Remer holds a B.A. in Environmental Biology with minors in Zoology and Psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is researching Arctic tourism and its effects on invasive species in the Center for Systems Integration and Sustainability under the advisement of Dr Jianguo "Jack" Liu. Growing up in North Dakota near the Canadian border and mapping Alaska’s wetlands in a previous role has made Michele very interested in researching colder climates to protect these particularly vulnerable natural areas. In her free time, Michele enjoys reading, hiking, and biking.
