Research Interests
My areas of scholarship focus on fundamental and applied research related to forest biomaterials (wood products), and agroecology especially in the context of Agroforestry.
My forest biomaterial interests generally aimed at using modern technologies for wood characterization, and development and testing of value added innovative wood products.
My Agroforestry interests include understanding of nutrient cycles and dynamics, and physiological responses and interaction in complex systems especially in the context of poverty alleviation and global climate change.
I have experiences in project design monitoring and evaluation, forest management and policy, carbon measurement and global climate change, and ecosystem services. I am also actively involved in sustainable production of biomass for biofuels.
Interested Students and Scholars
Students interested in Ph.D. and M.S. graduate studies in areas related to forest biomaterials are welcome to contact me to inquire about our graduate program. You are also welcomed to contact me if you have a secure funding source for your graduate program.
