Rubait Rahman
Major Professor: Felicia Wu
Rubait Rahman is a PhD student in AFRE. He grew up in the hustle and bustle of Dhaka city in Bangladesh. He is interested in issues that have a strong policy relevance, involves analytical rigor, and can be studied using behavioral and experimental economics techniques.
Rubait holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Dhaka and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He holds a second master’s degree from the Department of Applied Economics and Statistics at the University of Delaware. Prior to joining AFRE, he consulted for the World Bank, managing large scale surveys, and worked as a Research Associate at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) where he managed multiple projects involving RCTs, impact evaluations, and COVID-19 Response Surveys.
