Ty Hughston
Ty Hughston is the Farm Manager at the Michigan State University AgBio Lake City Research Center, where he focuses on regenerative grazing and management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Farm and Ranch Management from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Since joining the Lake City Research Center in 2014, Ty has been dedicated to advancing regenerative grazing practices and cattle genetics through holistic management. Coming from two generations of cattle ranchers in McBain, MI, he brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for sustainable agriculture.
Ty's vision is to continue improving regenerative grazing management, ensuring the health and productivity of the land and livestock for future generations. He also assists on research projects for the MSU AgBio Center of Regenerative Agriculture, specifically in grazing management and drone imagery capture.
