PRCI-Asia Training
PRCI is committed to providing technical training for policy researchers and analysts in policy research institutions and academic institutions in selected Asian developing countries. Capacity strengthening activities are a key element of PRCI's focus on institutional priority setting, strategic planning, and increased policy influence for affiliated policy research centers. Technical training supports project-affiliated research centers to conduct policy related research and policy communication focused on national and regional priorities. These trainings will use a train of trainer approach so that by the end of PRCI, affiliated policy research centers will have the capacity to lead their own training programs on regional policy research and influence. Through the PRCI consortium, MSU, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), Kasetsart University, and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), with other partners will offer training to selected partnering institutions in countries such as Cambodia, East Timor, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
