PRCI will work in Feed the Future (FTF) target and aligned countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.  Country USAID missions will be able to use associate awards and buy-ins to provide the consortium with additional funds to pursue within these countries the Lab objectives of building local capacity for high quality research to influence policy.  FTF target countries are Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, Kenya, Mali, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, and Uganda along with 8 new target countries as of 2022: Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Zambia.

FTF aligned countries are Afghanistan, Benin, Burma, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, Gambia, Georgia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Jordan, Kyrgyz Republic, Laos, Mauritania, Morocco, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Timor Leste, and  Zimbabwe.
