In the fall of 2014, the MSU LAAAB and LA program worked in collaboration with the Belle Isle Conservancy and the MDNR to host two events celebrating Belle Isle and the work of Frederick Law Olmsted.

117th Year: MSU Landscape Architecture All Class Reunion
In an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for Class Reunions, Prof. Emeritus Jo Westphal invited all of the classes from the LA Program at MSU to gather at Old Mission Peninsula for three days last spring.

Maura Brandi Internship Fund
The Maura Brandi Internship Fund is endowed and held by the Charlevoix County Community Foundation. MSU Landscape Architecture program students are preferred candidates.

From Eye to Heart: Exterior Spaces Explored and Explained
A preliminary edition of a new landscape history book authored by Dr. Jon Burley, FASLA, and Dr. Trisha Machemer has been released by Cognella Publishers (San Diego, CA).

World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society Meeting hosted by MSU
Nearly 100 academic papers were presented at MSU during the World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society Meeting in September 2015, featuring speakers from Algeria, Turkey, S. Africa, Portugal, Japan, Malaysia, Italy, and the USA.

LA Club 2015-2016
