4-H Life Skills Resources

August 15, 2016 -

Life skills are a basic foundation that prepares youth for success in life. The goal is that every youth possesses the necessary life skills to succeed and lead a productive life. 4-H helps youth develop these basic life skills through hands-on activities in a number of program areas that offer something for every interest. By using Iowa State University’s Targeting Life Skills Model, people who work with youth can easily identify and incorporate life skills that can be taught through their 4-H youth development work. These helpful tools from Michigan State University Extension can help adult volunteers teach life skills to youth.
