Medical Equipment & Supplies
Some potential points to spur discussion:
- Medical equipment and supply establishments are associated with areas with higher property taxes, but this does not hold for overall industry employment levels. This association is likely due to areas with higher property taxes attracting branch establishments through higher quality public services, including transportation infrastructure and a well-qualified labor-force.
- A higher share of college educated residents is associated with large establishments in computer and electronic product and medical equipment and supplies manufacturing.
- Manufacturing industries seem to benefit from agglomeration, that is, locating in areas with higher shares of employment in manufacturing.
