Facilities
The Saginaw Valley Research and Extension Center (SVREC) opened in April 2009, replacing the Saginaw Valley Bean and Beet Research Farm.
Dry beans, sugar beets and rotational crops, like wheat, corn and soybeans, are grown on SVREC's 250 acres of farmland.
Meetings, gatherings and educational programming are hosted at SVREC's Education Center, which houses a large room with a capacity of approximately 350 people, and a smaller room with a 40-person capacity.
The property also features an office building with a small conference room used by SVREC staff and researchers. A house on the property has been converted into an office space for local Extension personnel.
