Meet More Community Champions

Bradley Youngstrom serves as the Programs Director and Volunteer Coordinator at the Oceana County Council on Aging, where he serves older adults who experience transportation and food access barriers in their rural setting.

The Council on Aging, along with youth, volunteers and community members, started a community garden that grew in size over three years. The garden provides produce for the Council on Aging's kitchen, and any additional fruits and vegetables are made available for seniors to take home.

The project has helped local older adults be more physically active, access fresh produce and participate in programs that help them feel healthier and more confident.
