PowerPoint- The Wall of Bullets

Mayer's multimedia learning theory asserts people learn better with pictures and words than just with words. His redundancy principle states that it is better for learners to HEAR an explanation and SEE a supporting visual than it is for them to HEAR the explanation, SEE the visual, and SEE the words as well. This has been validated in research and the application is that PowerPoint should focus on visuals, and you should not be reading entire sentences off of a slide.
