Parking near the Bug House
Parking on MSU's campus can be confusing, so here are our best suggestions. Be sure to make a parking plan and allow extra time for parking on the day of your tour.
Car/Van Parking:
If you are traveling to campus by car or van, we suggest parking in a nearby parking ramp and walking to the Natural Science Building, where the Bug House is located (Room 147). The closest places to park are:
• The MSU Grand River Parking Ramp (Ramp 6 = Lot 103): Entrances on eastbound Grand River & E. Circle Dr. Basement and ground levels only, payment required 6am-6pm, Mon–Fri. Park in a space designated “Pay by Plate.” Rate is $2 per hour.
• The Bailey Street Lot (139 Bailey St., East Lansing): Entrance on west side of Bailey Street between Grand River & Albert avenues. Rate is $0.75 per half hour.
• The Division Street Garage (181 Division St., East Lansing): Entrance on west side of Division between Grand River & Albert avenues. Rate is $0.75 per half hour.
Bus Parking:
If your group is traveling to campus by school bus, we suggest having the buses drop folks off at the front of the Natural Science Building on Farm Lane. The buses can then be driven to a complimentary lot across campus and parked until the group is ready to be picked up.
Accessible Parking:
Accessible parking is available in Lot 7, next to the Natural Science Building. Entrance on E. Circle Drive. Lot 7 is gated; call 517-355-4663 to let us know so we can arrange to have the gate lifted!
