About our partnership
Michigan State University (MSU) and Kirtland Community College (KCC) have partnered to offer regionally relevant agricultural and forestry training programs for careers in some of Michigan's highest demand industries. Students will benefit from dual enrollment at both institutions with all courses delivered at the KCC campus in Grayling, MI. All courses will be taught by approved MSU faculty including local industry professionals.
This partnership allows students to earn a certificate from the MSU Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT) while working toward an associate degree from Kirtland Community College. Full-time students are able to complete the associate degree and certificate in just two years and financial aid is available to help with tuition expenses at both schools.
By working together, MSU and Kirtland Community College able to offer these specialized training programs for high-demand jobs close to home and at a lower overall cost. Graduates will be prepared for rewarding job opportunities in agriculture or transfer to continue their education.
