County Awards
Macomb County 4-H Awards Program
Michigan 4-H members currently enrolled in a Macomb County 4-H program and are 11 to 19 years of age as of January 1 of the current program year are eligible for the Macomb County 4-H Awards Program! We want to recognize Macomb County 4-H youth for engaging in learning experiences that resulted in outstanding knowledge and life-skill development.
Why should you apply? Participating in the County 4-H Awards Program will help you:
- Learn how to better communicate your accomplishments on a professional application such as scholarships, college entrance applications, resumes, and cover letters for employment
- Have more experience and be better able to communicate during job interviews
- Be encouraged to set new goals, continue building skills and assets, and broaden interests
- Win a cash prize
Macomb County 4-H members and volunteers are encouraged to checkout the Macomb County 4-H Awards Program website, which houses the applications for each type of award offered. The website also offers awards that require a nomination such as Clear the Hurdle Award, Sportsmanship Award, 4-H Volunteer of the Year, 4-H Leader of the Year, 4-H Lifetime Achievement, and Friend of 4-H.
Let’s work together to recognize everyone’s hard-work, resiliency, and learning this year! Applications and nominations are due September 30. Questions? Contact 4-H Program Coordinator Nikki Knight at knightn9@msu.edu. Thank you to the Macomb County 4-H Youth Council Awards and Recognition Subcommittee for your hard work and feedback surrounding the awards program.
