Macomb County 4-H Clubs
Year Round 4-H Clubs
Macomb County's 4-H clubs are growing current and future leaders. Adult volunteers are helping young people with experiential learning opportunities that enable them to explore new interests and discover their passion. They're also empowering young people with skills to lead for a lifetime by growing confidence, civic engagement, leadership, responsibility, and more.
Macomb County is in need of more 4-H clubs! To start a 4-H club in your local community, you need 2 adult volunteers (must go through MSU Extension Volunteer Selection Process), 5 youth from two or more families, and completed new club enrollment forms. To start a new 4-H club or to get involved with an existing club, contact our office at (586) 469-6431 or macomb.4h@macombgov.org
4-H SPIN Clubs
4-H SPIN Clubs are short-term, special interest clubs that run for a total of 6-8 hours. These clubs operate in a variety of ways (1 hour a week for 6-8 weeks, 2 hours a week for 3-4 weeks, one 6-8 hour day workshop, etc.). Each SPIN Club is taught by an adult screened 4-H volunteer, or an MSU Extension staff member. Club program topics and time frames vary based on availability. Cost to join and participate in a SPIN Club depend on the program and supplies needed. Upcoming SPIN Club opportunities through Macomb County 4-H will be listed below as they become available.
