Are grain quality discounts impacting your wheat profits?
A joint survey from Ohio State University and Michigan State University seeks your input.
Are grain quality discounts impacting your wheat profits? That’s a question that a new joint survey from Ohio State University and Michigan State University will help to answer. The short survey is part of a larger research effort to identify the impact of quality discounts on wheat profits and eventually provide recommendations to minimize profit losses to those discounts.
Some of the questions asked in the short survey include whether you’ve received grain quality discounts in the past, the type of discounts, and the concern you have about wheat profitability. Researchers are also interested in your confidence in understanding how local elevators apply discounts and your ability to estimate their impact on wheat profits.
Responses to the survey will also aid the joint team of researchers toward a grant proposal through the North Central Extension Risk Management Education Center. The grant will expand on the survey data to study the hidden cost of wheat quality and develop resources to help wheat growers.
The survey itself should take five minutes or less to complete. To participate, click on the following link or use the QR code below: https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5dUvmmLp9gBaHC6
