Matt Daum welcomed to the Michigan 4-H Foundation board of trustees
Daum was appointed interim dean of the MSU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) on July 1.
The Michigan 4-H Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that supports the mission and vision of Michigan State University Extension 4-H Youth Development. The foundation receives donations from individuals and organizations to support 4-H youth development activities and to train Michigan 4-H’s adult and older teen volunteers.
Daum was appointed interim dean of the MSU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) on July 1. As CANR dean, Daum holds a seat as a permanent, ex-officio Michigan 4-H Foundation trustee. While not under the authority of the board, ex-officio trustees have all the privileges of board members and none of the obligations of membership.
Daum has been with CANR since 2020, when he became director of the MSU School of Packaging. He also served as CANR’s assistant dean of corporate relations and strategy. Prior to his return to his alma mater in 2020, Daum held a 25-year-career at HP Inc. (formerly Hewlett Packard) based in Boise, Idaho.
Michigan 4-H Foundation trustees are volunteers who manage foundation policies and operations, and are community advocates for ongoing and increasing support for 4-H. They are also charged with overseeing the activities of foundation staff members and working on committees to facilitate foundation operations.
