Michigan State University Extension offers a variety of educational programming to help adults live healthy lives. Class topics include:
- Preventing falls and improving balance (Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention and A Matter of Balance)
- Building better sleep habits (SLEEP)
- Practicing mindfulness, managing anger and reducing stress (Stress Less with Mindfulness and RELAX: Alternatives to Anger)
- Managing chronic pain, diabetes, arthritis and other illnesses (Chronic Disease PATH, Chronic Pain PATH, Diabetes PATH, and Walk With Ease)
- Setting goals and trying new practices learned in Mindfulness for Better Sleep, a program of six, 90-minute sessions that combines the benefits of Mindfulness and Sleep Education for Everyone).
- Adding movement and reducing pain with Tai Chi for Better Sleep, a program of 16, 90-minute sessions that combines the benefits of Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention and Sleep Education for Everyone).
