Background:

Erin received her B.S in Fisheries Ecology and Management from Michigan State University in 2025, where she worked on several projects related to fish health and aquatic invasive species. She is continuing her work at MSU in the Molecular and Evolutionary Ecology Research lab, under the advisement of Drs. Jared Homola and Michael Booth. Her thesis research focuses on characterizing the distribution of cisco (Coregonus artedi) in inland lakes using environmental DNA (eDNA). Broadly, Erin is interested in using genetic tools for aquatic conservation and protecting fisheries in the Great Lakes.
