Giorgia Bastianelli, Ph.D.
Dr. Giorgia Bastianelli is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in Miles Lab. Her current interest involves fungal pathogens affecting chestnut orchards in Michigan, where she's trying to detect, identify and manage species causing nut rots.
She received her PhD at University of Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy), where she worked on chestnut brown rot caused by Gnomoniopsis smithogilvyi (syn. castanea) and mycotoxins detection on nuts.
