Background:
Justin earned his B.S in Ecology, Evolution and Behavior and a minor in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management from University of Minnesota in 2019. While at UMN, he assisted with research on wetland restoration and urban stormwater pond management. Following his time in Minnesota, Justin moved to Idaho and completed his M.S. at Idaho State University under the advisement of Dr. Rebecca Hale. His thesis work was focused on the effect of stream intermittence on carbon cycling. Justin is now a PhD student at MSU working under the advisement of Dr. Dana Infante, and his current research is focused on the development of water temperature models in the Au Sable River to apply adaptive management strategies in response to climate change.
