Laura Winter, M.S., NCIDQ
Laura Winter is a teaching specialist of interior design in the School of Planning, Design and Construction at Michigan State University. She graduated from MSU with a BA in Interior Design. Upon completion, Winter worked in the residential design field in the metro Detroit area, as well as Chicago. Soon after, she completed a masters degree at Illinois State University, focusing on teaching, as well as research emphasizing students' perceptions of LEED-certified buildings on college campuses. Winter is a certified Interior Designer through the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). She now resides in East Lansing, teaching full-time as a specialist - teaching in the Interior Design Program. Previously, Winter worked as an interior designer at Mayberry Homes. She thoroughly enjoys being able to teach and learn from her students, while fulfilling her passion for design.
