Bio
I was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico and completed her K-12 studies in several schools in the metropolitan cities of San Juan and Trujillo Alto.

My master’s program in the department of Fisheries and Wildlife at the Michigan State University, specialized in Environmental Public Policy in tropical karst systems. My professional goal is to advocate and contribute to the public policy making rocess of karst resources and create educational material of karst resources in order to insert them in the public school systems in Puerto Rico and Latin America.

In January 2011, I got my diploma from the Environmental Science program at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and completed an undergraduate thesis dealing with the ecology of cave-dwelling insects in several caves systems in Puerto Rico. I have been an active member in several local and international organizations like the Marine Environment Society, Puerto Rican Karst Speleological Research Foundation, The Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico, Ecological Society of America, Audubon Society, Organization for Tropical Studies, International Union of Speleology, Czech Speleological Society, and Critical Mass Dortmund in Germany.
