Biography: Russ received his B.A. in liberal arts (philosophy and religion) from DePauw University and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in sensory neuropsychology from Clark University. Retired from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), Russ held a variety of research and management positions for MDNR as well as the Nevada Department of Wildlife, Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, and USDA-Wildlife Services. At present, he is a science and policy advisor to the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, the Outdoor Conservation Stewards Foundation and the Nimrod Society.
