  • Beef Cattle Teaching & Research Center

  • Dairy Cattle Teaching & Research Center

  • Entomology Field Research Center

    The Entomology Field Research Center is home to a variety of research projects on insects that impact Michigan's agriculture and natural resources.

  • Farm Bureau Pavilion

    The Farm Bureau Pavilion hosts approximately 100 events each year, including the Spartan Stampede Rodeo, the Michigan Livestock Exhibition, the RV Show, the Lansing Home and Garden Show, and numerous 4-H and FFA events.

  • Hancock Turfgrass Research Center

    The Hancock Turfgrass Research Center has been conducting cutting-edge turfgrass research since 1978.

  • Horse Teaching & Research Center

    The primary mission of the HTRC is to educate the next generation of Michigan horse persons and solve industry problems through applied scientific research.

  • Horticulture Teaching and Research Center

    The 180 acre HTRC is located just south of campus in Holt, Michigan. The center meets the needs of field labs for outdoor classrooms as well as basic research.

  • Plant Pathology Field Laboratory

    The Plant Pathology Field Laboratory hosts research on plant diseases that affect the agriculture industries.

  • Pollinator Performance Center

    The MSU Pollinator Performance Center serves as a hub of the university's teaching, research and outreach on pollinators and their connection to agricultural systems and the environment.

  • Poultry Teaching & Research Center

  • Sheep Teaching & Research Center

  • Swine Teaching & Research Center

    The swine farm’s primary mission is to work with faculty and staff as they complete their research, teaching and extension/outreach programs.

  • Tree Research Center

    The 30-acre center was established in 1963. Facilities include an irrigated tree nursery, greenhouses, tree plantations, and buildings and equipment to support research, teaching and maintenance activities.

  • Veterinary Research Farm

    These farms and our resident livestock and horses give students an opportunity to handle and work with food animals and horses in natural settings and also to learn to care for their well-being.

  • Clarksville Research Center

    The Clarksville Research Center hosts research on small fruits and tree fruits, as well as potatoes, chestnuts and a variety of other crops.

  • Corey Marsh Ecological Research Center

    Corey Marsh Ecological Research Center is a site for long-term, interdisciplinary research of inland wetland ecosystems, creating opportunities for student experiential learning and community engagement.

  • Dunbar Forest

    The 5,760-acre Dunbar Forest is the largest and second-oldest MSU off-campus facility. The forest hosts long-term genetics and silvicultural studies that have helped advance the science of forest management in Michigan and the Great Lakes region.

  • Fred Russ Forest

    The 939-acre Fred Russ Forest allows researchers to conduct long-term research on Christmas tree seed production and other projects aimed at preserving the diversity and abundance of Michigan forests.

  • Lake City Research Center

    The Lake City Research Center includes 810 acres of managed land and 180 beef cows in a geographic area suitable for forage-based livestock enterprises, potato production and bioenergy crop production.

  • Lux Arbor Reserve

    Lux Arbor Reserve is a pristine natural environment supporting many diverse research projects.

  • MacCready Nature Reserve

    The MacCready Nature Reserve is a 408-acre property that is designated for education, research, and outreach programs in wildlife and forestry management.

  • Mason Research Farm

    The Mason Research Farm hosts research on plant agriculture, particularly wheat field trials.

  • Montcalm Research Center

    Michigan potato and dry bean producers are the main beneficiaries of the research conducted at the 57-acre Montcalm Research Center.

  • MSU Forestry Innovation Center

    The 1,745-acre MSU Forestry Innovation Center in Escanaba is leading a number of initiatives to broaden MSU's impact in the forestry and wildlife sectors

  • Northwest Michigan Horticulture Research Center

    This 137-acre center sits in the five-county northwestern region that produces almost half of the U.S. supply of tart cherries and is responsible for 83 percent of sweet cherry production in Michigan.

  • Rogers Reserve Field Laboratory

    The Rogers Reserve Field Laboratory in Jackson was donated by Ernie and Mabel Rogers in 1990. The couple was interested in agriculture and natural resources, especially chestnut production.

  • Saginaw Valley Research and Extension Center

    Research at the Saginaw Valley Research and Extension Center has allowed Michigan producers to be national leaders in sugar beet and dry bean production.

  • Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center

    The Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center is located in Berrien County, and growing several types of fruit and conducting variety evaluations of numerous fruits and vegetables are just part of the work done at the 350-acre site.

  • Upper Peninsula Research and Extension Center

  • W.K. Kellogg Biological Station

    World-renowned for its contributions to ecology, evolution and sustainable agriculture, the 3,014-acre W.K. Kellogg Biological Station is MSU's largest off-campus research and education complex.

  • W.K. Kellogg Experimental Forest

    Established on abandoned agricultural land, the 716-acre Kellogg Experimental Forest is known worldwide for research on tree breeding and genetics, planting techniques, and plantation establishment and management.

  • West Central Michigan Research and Extension Center

    The West Central Michigan Research and Extension Center is home to research on tree fruit (apples, peaches, pears, tart cherries and sweet cherries) and asparagus.
