- Research, teaching and Extension outreach on alfalfa productivity and feed quality including alfalfa variety characteristics, drying differences, yield potentials and management systems that utilize precision agricultural in the production of alfalfa.
- Research, teaching and Extension outreach on soil and seed enhancements to increase forage yield and forage quality including:
- Sulfur fertilizers
- Biological enhancements
- Foliar fertilizers
- Research, teaching and Extension outreach on the management of grass/legume mixtures.
- Research, teaching and Extension outreach on the use of cover crops for soil improvement and livestock feed.
- Research, teaching and Extension outreach on Birdsfoot Trefoil establishment, production and management for use across all of Michigan in hay, silage and pasture systems.
