The National Cover Crop Variety Testing Program aims to identify how new and existing cover crop varieties perform in a wide variety of locations across the country to help farmers, crop advisors, and members of the seed industry with decision making. The program has just released its second annual report, which includes data for 35 different varieties tested across 13 states during the 2025-2026 cover crop growing season.
