"Make A Mess" - Kid's Night Out
Friday, January 16th, 2026
Drop off at 5:00pm - Pick up at 8:00pm
Kid's Night Out will be held at the Lapeer County MSU Extension.

It is highly recommended that 5-year-olds have completed kindergarten.
- Preregistration Required by January 12th. To register your child(ren) to attend, complete the google form at https://bit.ly/4hkidsnight
- Payment by cash or check will be collected at the event.
- Participants will need to enroll as Lapeer County 4-H members, you will receive a link after registration to complete enrollment.

Kids Night Out is a special evening activity for youth ages 5-12. Kids Night Out is planned, organized and hosted by Teen Counselors of Lapeer County 4-H Camp Committee with guidance from adult volunteers and staff. This event is a fundraiser activity that benefits the Lapeer County 4-H Camp Committee to help fund activities and other costs associated with hosting the summer camp held in July.

The Frozen Frontier - Winter Day Camp
Step back in time for a fun-filled winter adventure packed with old-time skills and big-time winter thrills!!

10:00am - 4:00pm
Camper Check-in and Pick-up will be at the Clifford Elevator.

The Frozen Frontier Activities are designed for youth ages 10-19 (as of Jan. 1, 2026). Youth will participate in sessions at both the Clifford Elevator and Clifford School House. There will also be outdoor sessions. Youth will need to dress in warm layers and bring winter gear (hats, gloves, snowpants).

If your child is not a current 4-H member, you will need to enroll them as a member before completing the camp registration. 4-H enrollment is online and free. If they have attended 4-H activities previously, you can re-enroll them using the email and password, you set up in the past. When enrolling please Choose "General Experience" as your club and "Leisure Education" as the project area. Detailed directions for enrollment are below

2026 Summer Day Camp Program
Camp is held at Camp Lael on Ferns Road in Lapeer, MI
Wednesday - Friday, July 8 - 10th, 2026
Drop off at 8:30am - Pick up at 5:00pm
Camp Activities are designed for youth ages 5-12 (as of Jan. 1, 2026).
It is highly recommended that 5-year-olds have completed kindergarten.
Join Lapeer County 4-H for 3 days of "Dino Discovery" camp this summer, as we learn about the pre-historic creatures through songs, games, crafts, explorations, nature hikes, and more. Lapeer County 4-H Day Camp offers youth the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills, connect with the outdoors, and ultimately have a great time with other kids!
Camp is (2026 Fee is not available yet) per camper for the full 3 days of camp (includes lunch and snack each day). Camp Scholarships are available. Camp registration closes June 5th or when camp is full.

To Register for Lapeer County 4-H Day Camp:

Enroll your child in Lapeer County 4-H as a member.

If your child is not a current 4-H member, you will need to enroll them as a member before completing the camp registration. 4-H enrollment is online and free. If they have attended camp or 4-H activities previously, you can re-enroll them using the email and password, you set up in the past. When enrolling please Choose "Counselors & Campers 4-H Club" as your club and "Leisure Education" as the project area. Detailed directions for enrollment are below

Mail or drop off your payment to the Lapeer County MSU Extension/4-H Office at 1800 Imlay City Road, Lapeer, MI 48446. Cash or Check payments are accepted. Make checks payable to "Lapeer County 4-H Camp." Registration is not considered complete until payment is received. Space is limited and your child may lose their spot if payment is not received.
Registration, payment and scholarship applications are due by June 5th. You will receive a confirmation of your child's registration after June 8th with additional details such as what to bring to camp, and camp expectations.
The office is typically open Monday-Friday 8am-12 and 1-4:30. It may sometimes close at other times if all staff are in the community programming, you are encouraged to call first to ensure that staff are available when you plan to come to the office.
If you have any questions or need assistance enrolling in 4-H or registering for camp, please call the office at (810)667-0341. Paper enrollment and registration forms are available upon request.

Youth ages 12-19 may become a day camp counselor. 4-H Teen Counselors assist camp staff and adult volunteers in leading activities and guiding campers through their day. Counselors are trained in CPR/First Aid and Waterfront Safety. If interested in becoming a counselor, please contact MSU Extension at 810-667-0341.

Over-Night Camp Program
Camp is held at Camp Stapleton in Lexington, MI
Monday - Wednesday, June 15 - 17th, 2026
Camp Activities are designed for youth ages 9-14 (as of Jan. 1, 2026).

Camp is (2026 Cost TBD) per camper and registration ends (Date TBD). Scholarships are available.

Youth ages 15-19 may become an overnight camp counselor. 4-H Teen Counselors assist camp staff and adult volunteers in leading activities and guiding campers through their day. Counselors are trained in CPR/First Aid and Waterfront Safety. If interested in becoming a counselor, please contact MSU Extension at 810-667-0341.
We could also use some adult volunteers to help with either camp!
