The Native American Institute at MSU was established to help North American Indian organizations and tribal governments plan and prepare to meet the present and future needs of their constituents.
The Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives
The Michigan State University Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives serves as an institutional focal point for promoting inclusion and diversity at Michigan State University. In addition to providing leadership and support for university-wide initiatives on inclusive excellence, a staff of experts work diligently to facilitate and support a campus environment that provides students, faculty, and staff with opportunities for excellence.
MSU Office for Civil Rights and Title IX Education and Compliance
The Office for Civil Rights and Title IX Education and Compliance (OCR) is comprised of the Prevention, Outreach, and Education Department (POE), the Office of Institutional Equity (OIE), the Office of the ADA/Section 504 Coordinator, the Resolution Office, and the Office of Support and Equity. OCR supports the campus community in creating and maintaining a safe environment and a culture of respect through educating all campus community members regarding how to prevent, identify, appropriately respond to, and report discrimination, harassment, stalking, sexual assault, and relationship violence; conducting impartial, fair, supportive, and equitable investigations of complaints under MSU’s Relationship Violence and Sexual Misconduct and Title IX Policy (RVSM Policy) and MSU’s Anti-Discrimination Policy (ADP); and connecting those impacted by discrimination, harassment, relationship violence, and sexual misconduct with campus and community resources. Title IX prohibits retaliation against reporters of sex discrimination, including reports of sex discrimination against administrators and other employees. The LGBT Resource Center
The LBGT Resource Center leads and collaborates on university-wide initiatives that enhance campus climate and support services for MSU students who identify as lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender, and their communities, at Michigan State University. We serve the entire campus community by helping all students, faculty & staff thrive in a diverse world by developing allies across difference. We believe the primary purpose of higher education is to unlock students’ unlimited possibilities, & that our collective efforts will further this end.
