Bio

Amelia McGinnis is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Entomology at Michigan State University, co-advised by Dr. Hannah Burrack and Dr. Lauren Sullivan of MSU’s Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior (EEB) Program. Her research focuses on plant-insect interactions, specifically quantifying pollination by flies in Michigan prairies. Through her work, McGinnis aims to advance understanding of insect-mediated ecosystem services and inform conservation strategies that consider a broader range of insect taxa amid climate change and declining bee populations.
