Biography
Anjin Chang, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Michigan State University, where he leads the Geospatial Digital Agriculture Lab (GDAL) and the department's drone program for smart agriculture. Drawing on expertise in remote sensing, GIS, and data science, his interdisciplinary research bridges geomatics with agriculture, forestry, and environmental applications. His scholarly program advances data-driven precision agriculture through UAS-based high-throughput phenotyping, AI-enabled integration of multi-scale remote sensing data, and crop monitoring for disease and pest assessment. He previously held faculty and research positions at Tennessee State University and Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi.
