Miriam Weber
I grew up on a family dairy farm in Michigan’s “thumb” region. With a focus in dairy cattle physiology and management, I teach lactation and physiology courses. Advising responsibilities center on students with interests in animal agriculture and veterinary medicine. Building on experiences with coaching Dairy Challenge and dairy cattle judging teams, I coordinate internship and undergraduate research opportunities for students to complete experiential learning requirements in the Animal Science degree.
Research interests include early life management of calves and its influence on their future performance. I serve as the faculty coordinator for the Michigan Dairy Memorial and Scholarship Foundation and the G.C. and Gwendolyn Graf Memorial Student Enhancement Program for undergraduate research in dairy science.
