Bio

Kat Yoskowitz is a graduate student studying the endosymbionts and internal microbiome of the invasive hemlock woolly adelgid, a forest pest responsible for widespread destruction of Michigan’s hemlock trees. Her broader research interests lie in disease ecology and the interactions among pathogens, vectors and hosts, with a focus spanning both medical and forest entomology.
