Background and Research Interests

Maria joined the department of Food Science and Human Nutrition in May 2021. She holds both a BS in Animal Science and MS in Epidemiology from MSU. Maria is interested in studying how maternal obesity and endocrine disrupting chemicals separately and jointly impact newborn reproductive development and maternal cardiometabolic health postpartum.
