Dr. Claire Murphy is an Assistant Professor and Extension Food Safety Specialist at Washington State University's Irrigated Agriculture Research and Extension Center, where she leads an integrated research and Extension program dedicated to improving the microbial safety of fresh produce. Her program combines applied, industry-driven research with stakeholder education to develop practical, science-based solutions that help growers, packers, and processors reduce food safety risks and meet regulatory requirements.
