Older Adults
“Stay Active, Stay Engaged”
Physical activity is a key factor in promoting health and longevity at any age. It serves as a protective factor for many chronic diseases like cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Physical activity also provides energy, flexibility, and strength to perform life’s daily tasks and can help preserve balance and mobility as we age.
For older adults (65 years or older), the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommend 150 minutes of moderate, or 75 minutes of vigorous, physical activity each week. Every little bit counts toward your goals.
Benefits:
- Keep your mind active
- Lower your risk for falls
- Create social connections
- Manage health conditions
- Maintain the activities you enjoy
